Torn apart
Elsa went over her cousins house to sleep over, woke up to being trapped behind the east side of Berlin and her family on the west side. -
Wanting to be with family.
Elsa's parents tried to find a way to go to her but did not achieve. -
Christmas, but apart.
It was Christmas and Elsa missed her family more than anything. -
A birthday, Apart
It was Elsa's birthday. She was turning 14. Her family was not there, but grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins were there with her. East Berlin's conditions started to get worse. -
One out of many dead
Elsa's cousin Alf had a friend named peter that was shot and let bled to death because he tried to escape. -
JFK
John F. Kennedy went to west Berlin. He made a very powerful speech that inspired Elsa very much. -
JFK dead
JFK was killed and Elsa was devastated. -
Finally 16
Elsa has turned 16 and sad that she is not with her family, nor able to drive a car or get her license. -
Time has passed
Elsa has been married, with children. Soviet union economy weak and hasn't seen her family in 25 years. -
When the wall came down
The Berlin was finally torn and Elsa was finally reunited.
