    the Volstead Act was created to help enfoce the 18th amendment. It was a commitee that tried to enforce Prohibition. It had only 2,500 officers to help enforce the whole country, so it really had no effect on the country.
  • Palmer Raids

    Palmer Raids
    The Palmer Raids were led by the Department of Justice in hopes to arrest and deport radicals and anarchists from the country. The raids were encouraged by A. Mitchell Palmer. Violent actions such as bombings and racial riots took place. The raids continued through January 1920.

    the 18th amendment prohibited the sale, consumption, manufacture or trade of alchohol. This amendment led to many upsets from Americans. Speakeasies were created, and the notorious Al Capone began to shine.

Fall claimed the lands were govermnet property, but he earned alot of money. He was charged with bribery and conspiracy. Before the Watergate Scandal, the Teapot Dome Affair was known as the greatest scandal in U.S. history.
