    Lots 40-44 These lots make up what is now most of the actual playing field at Black Field

  • Dedication Ceremony*

    (* date not exact) The field was dedicated and named after Dr. Duncan Black afte the field had been mostly leveled and used for football. Dr. Black had passed away several years before the dedication.

  • Purchase Lots from United Memorial Hospital*

    (* month and date not exact) Greenville Public Schools purchase lots 24 and 25 and portions of lots 1 and 2 from United Memorial Hospital for the price of $1,500.
