  • Moros y Cristianos

Moros y Cristianos is a holiday held in cities in all parts of Spain. The main attraction of this celebration is putting on a play of the wars between the Christians and Arabs that happened in Spain many years ago. It is held from the 21st to the 24th of April. In the Spain province Alcoy, people are working all year to put on a war that consists of 28 different armies. This war lasts all 4 days. On the last day of the war, the Christians seem to be defeated, but St.George leads them to victory.
  • La Feria de Abril

Although the celebration translates to "April Fair", next year's celebration starts on May 3 and ends on May 8. During these 5 days, tons of festivals go on throughout the city of Seville. It ends at midnight on Sunday with a giant firework celebration. Every day, a parade of women with full flamenco dresses goes through the town. At night, most of the residents of Seville stay up and party until well past midnight.
  • Castellers de Vilafrenca

Castellers de Vilafrenca is a sport that is played in Spian where the main objective is to stack as many people into a human pyramid to win. Although it says the date is September 14, the activity has started as early as August, and as late as January. Starting in 1994, the tradition now has around 400 members. Their biggest feat came in 2005, when they built a tower called "torre de nou amb folre", now considered the most dangerous tower they have ever built.
