    It was the forced removal and relocation of many Native American Tribes. A huge amount of them died along the way and endured many horrible things which is why it is called the Trail of Tears, It included the Cherokee, Muscogee, Seminole and Choctaw. They were forced west.

    859 members of the Potawatomi tribe were forced from Twin Lakes, Indiana to Osawatomi, Kansas. Over 4- people died on the journey mostly children.
