    The Boston Tea Party
    Civilians got upset with the taxes on many things and one of them obviously, tea. People dressed as Indians and baisiclly dumped tea into the harbor. The Parlament soon closed down the harbor.

    The Battle of Lexington and Concord
    The first shot started the American Revolution. The first shot is known as "The Shot Heard 'Round The World".
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    This took place early in the Revolutionary War and it was mostly on and/or around Breed's Hill (got the name Breed's Hill from a Wikipedia site.) The battle was actually named after the hill close to it named Bunker Hill, which was involved in the battle.

    In this battle, the British tried to retake New York and won. They drove Washington off Long Island and they kept making him retreat until he retreated to New Jersey

    The Declaration of Independance was accepted at the Second Continental Congress. The Declaration brought forward a basic change of the view of the government. Jefferson said that governments were made to "serve the people".

    The Americans won a battle that the really needed to win. They took over 900 Hessians hostage and it must have been easy considering that it was the day after Christmas and the Hessians were a bit hungover from the night before.

    The Americans won this battle only a week after they succeded in winning the Battle of Trenton. Winning this battle gave the Americans hope that they could actually win the war.

    The Americans won this battle and because of this, it ended British plan to split the colonies into two. About 5,700 British soldiers surrendered showing that the Americans have "grown up".
    What I mean by gron up is that the Americans don't need the British's help at all ruling their own country.

    Like it says in the title, this was a winter camp where the army is being trained. A german general named Fredrick von Steuben trains them and by spring, George Washington has a 'real' army
  • Battle of Yorktown

    Battle of Yorktown
    The Americans won this battle mainly because Washington closes in on Cornwallis from three different directions. The French also helped us by stopping Cornwallis from retreating by sea. His surrender usually shows where the war had ended.

    Treaty of Paris (the one that ended the Revolutionary War)
    This Treaty of Paris 1783 was what really ended The Revolutionary War. The treaty was signed in Paris by Bejamin Franklin and John Adams.
