Design for flying machine
Leonardo da Vinci made many designs of amazing inventions, some that are used today like the ornathoptor, and some that we do not. At one point he drew out an invention of a man powered flying machine. -
First hot air balloon to fly in the air
On Sept 19, 1783 scientists released the first hot air balloon, holding a sheep, a duck and a rooster. The hot air balloon lasted in the air for 15 minutes before it fell to the ground. -
First balloon with men.
2 brothers Joseph and Etienne Montgolfier flew on the first hot air balloon with men travelling on it. Montgolfier the last name of the men is what hot air balloons are called in french. -
Monoplane
The first monoplane was the Monoplane built in 1874 by Felix du Temple de la Croix, a large plane made of aluminium in Brest, France, with a wingspan of 13 meters and a weight of only 80 kilograms. -
First powerd plane.
The Wright Flyer was the first powered aircraft designed and built by the Wright brothers. It was flown on December 17 1903 near the Kill Devil Hills. -

Canadian Air Force
The Royal Canadian Air Force was the air force of Canada from 1924 until 1968 when the three branches of the Canadian military were merged into the Canadian Forces. The modern Canadian air force has been known as Canadian Forces Air Command since 1975, but still refers to itself as the Air Force and maintains many of the traditions of the Royal Canadian Air Force. -

Trans-Canada Air Lines opens with 2 ten passenger airplanes. It slowly grows and becomes Air Canada in 1964. -
Belle X1 breaks sound barrier
The Belle X1 was the first plane to fly faster the sound. The X1 was flown by Captain Charles "Chuck" Yeager.The Bell X-1 flight proved, the speed of sound isn't a barrier at all. -
First Sputnik
On October 4, 1957, the Soviet Union successfully launched Sputnik I. It was a man made satelite that orbited the earth taking 98 minutes to do a full lap around. -

On Jully 20th Neil Amstrong and Edwin E. "Buzz" Aldrin flew the Apollo11 to great discoverys when they made the great historical and scientifical event of landing on the moon. -
The pioneer 10
Pioneer 10 was the first spacecraft to travel through the asteroid belt, on July 15, 1972, and to make direct observations of Jupiter, which it passed by on December 3, 1973. It was launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. -
Gossamer Albatross
The Gossamer Albatross was a human-powered aircraft built by American aeronautical engineer Dr. Paul B. MacCready's AeroVironment. On June 12, 1979 it completed a successful crossing of the English Channel to win the second Kremer prize. -

Everyone is changing to hovercrafts and getting rid of their old electric cars. The hovercraft was voted the best transportation being eco friendly, cheap, automatic, safe, and indestructible.
