A feast we elebrate every year. We dress up in costumes and read the scroll of Esther ^^ It is written that the Messiah can only come from the Tribe of Judah and it was the tribe of Judah that G-d delievered from the hands of Haman using Queen Esther. Baruch HaShem ^^ -
Passover
The 14th day of the Month of Nissan.
At sundown, it's Erev Pesach (Passover Eve)
Praise be to HaShem that Yeshua came as our Passover Lamb -
Feast of Unleaven Bread
Starting the 15th day of the month of Nisan. For a whole week we refrain from eating anything with leaven/yeast in it, like a fast of sorts. It's symbolic of remving sin from our lives. -
Feast of Firstfruits
At the end of the Sabbath after Passover. When Yeshua rose again b/c it is written that He is the first of many to be raised from the dead. Blessed are You, O L-RD, who is faithful to ressurect the dead. -
Pentecost
Shavuot aka Pentecost. The same time G-d gave Moses the Torah on Mt. Sinai in the Older Covenant is the same time Yeshua gave us the Holy Spirit in the Renewed Covenant. -
Rosh Hashanah
Rosh Hashanah aka Feast of Trumpets aka the Jewish New Year. The first day of the month of Tishrei. It's a huge banquet with lots of sweets like apples and honey representing a sweet new year for Israel is the land flowing with milk and honey. And we blow the Shofar ^_^ -
Yom Kippur
Yom Kippur aka The Day of Atonement. The 10th day of the month of TishreiThis is a solemn day of rest and fasting. No food or water from sundown to sundown. It starts the Friday night before at sundown. The only day out of the whole year where the High Priest could enter the Holy of Holies. Praise be to HaShem that Yeshua is our High Priest forever. -
Sukkot
Sukkot aka Feast of Tabernacles or Ingathering. The 15th day of the month of Tishrei. During this feast we build temporary dwellings, a sukkah, and cover it with palm braches and other greenery. We spend as much time as we can in the Sukkah, we eat and fellowship and sleep in the sukkah for a week. It remind us that G-d dwelled with us in the wilderness and also symbolic of Yeshua gathering all of His own in the end. -
Hanukkah
Hanukkah ^_^ the Feast of Dedication or Lights. It's another week long feast and it's a time for celebrating and exchanging gifts in remembering the cleansing of the Temple when it was defiled by Syria.
