  • League of Nations Rejected

    The Senate refused to formalize the Treaty of Versailles in order for the United States to have participation in the League of Nations
  • Women's Vote Ratified

    in August 18, 1920 Tennessee ratifies the 19th Amendment making it two thirds majority allowing for the amendment to become the law of the land.
  • Worlds Series Radio Broadcast

    For the first time ever, The World's Series Baseball game is broadcast-ed on the radio throughout the whole of the United States. The New York Giants defeat the New York Yankees, five games to three.
  • Germany's Depression

    Germany's Depression
    Due to the Treaty of Versailles imposing reparation debts onto Germany they fell into a very serious depression. They suffered hyperinflation. making American Dollar worth thousands of Deutsche Marks.
  • Klansmen March

    The KKK marched down Washington with 40,000 members ready to demonstrate the American People their power. The KKK attacked the social and political rights of African Americans, immigrants, Catholics, and Jews.
  • The Birth of Mickey Mouse

    The Birth of Mickey Mouse
    After the Disney lost the rights to Universal Pictures on the property rights to Oswald Rabbit, they created a new character called Mickey Mouse. For a little while Mickey Mouse was not receiving attention. Until Steamboat Willie, an animation, was a big hit. Making it the first animation with synchronized sound and Music. After the premiere they were an instant hit making it an American icon
  • Stock Market Crash

    The Roaring Twenties had to come to an end due to stock market crash in Wall Street in Oct. 24, 1929. It crashed beacuase of excessive bank withdrawl and stock purchase that banks no longer had money to loan. Leaving people jobless and companies close due to low sales because people were in poverty.

    Dust Bowl

    American Farmers have had a severe drought, leading to severe dust/sand/dirt storms in the the great prarie/tornado valley. This area was called the Dust Bowl. They drowned homes, carts and cars with sand.
  • Amelia Earhart

    Amelia Earthart, first woman pilot, completed the transatlatic flight landing in Ireland. Her flight took 15 hours to cross the northern atlantic.
  • Franklin D. Roosevelt

    Frankling Delano Roosevelt is elected president of the united states in 1932. He is the first president to serve more than two terms. he won electoral votes by a landslide, with 57.4%.
  • Unemployment Peak

    During the great depression, 1933 was the year unemployment reached its peak. The unemployment rate in the United States was 25%. The United States reached the lowest Gross Rate in 1933 with $56.4 billion being the Domestic Gross Product.
  • 21st Amendment

    Part of FDR's New Deal was to repeal the 18th amendment. The prihibition was replealed due to the policy being unenforceable. The alochol was highly taxed after the repeal.
  • WPA

    FDR signs the executive order creating the Worker's Progress Administration (WPA), this organization allowed relief to many americans with government granted jobs.
  • Social Security Act

    FDR passed the Social Security Act allowing for benefits for the helpless. The System has made it easier for people to revieve benefits.
  • Revenue Act

    The Revenue Act was signed by FDR, it raised federal income tax on higher income levels, by introducing the "Wealth Tax". It was a progressive tax that took up to 75 percent of the highest incomes.
  • Fair Labors Standard Act

    The US passes the Fair Labor Standard Act, the policy establishes a system in where workers eran a minimum wage, are allowed overpay and child laborers are prohibited.
  • Germany Invades Poland

    Germany Invades Poland, Hitler claimed the invasion was self defense. However that was not enough to convince England and France. They declared war against Germany, the beginning of WWII.

    German Invasion of Soviet Union

    Nazi Germany and its Axis partners (except Bulgaria) invade the Soviet Union. Finland, seeking redress for the territorial losses in the armistice concluding the Winter War, joins the Axis just before the invasion.
  • Pearl Harbor Attack

    Japan bombs Hawaii, they decided to bomb the United States to prevent American Pacific Navy to intervene with their conquest of Southeast Asia. The bombing killed more than 2,300 Americans.
  • America Enters War

    The day after Pearl Harbor America enters WWII, they side with the Allies and declare war against Japan.
  • War Against America

    The Axis powers altogether declare war on the united states. not only will the war get the U.S. out of its depression, surging an economic boom, but it will spike propaganda and encite even more xenophobia in the U.S.
  • The Badoglio

    The Badoglio government surrenders unconditionally to the Allies. The Germans immediately seize control of Rome and northern Italy, establishing a puppet Fascist regime under Mussolini, who is freed from imprisonment by German commandos on September 12.

    Home Army

    The non-communist underground Home Army rises up against the Germans in an effort to liberate Warsaw before the arrival of Soviet troops. The Soviet advance halts on the east bank of the Vistula. On October 5, the Germans accept the surrender of the remnants of the Home Army forces fighting in Warsaw.
  • Victory for Allies

    After Both Europe and the United States defeat the Axis Powers, they declare an end to WWII. Most of their success credited to the Soviet Union.
