    The Safety Match by Gustaf Erik Pasch
    The safety match was originally created by Gustaf Erik Pasch and Jons Jacob Berzelius in 1844. Pasch was chemistry professor and inventor. Berzelius was also an inventor, in fact, he invented modern day chemical notation and discovered that red phosphorus could replace dangerous white phosphorus to make a safer match. However, he was unable to construct this invention until Pasch helped him out. Unfortunately, their invention was expensive and never caught on until it was later improved in 1855.

Over time Issac Singer came up with a household friendly machine that was easy to use, convienent, and inexpensive. This was a breathrough for Isaac. This happened in 1851 when his newly invented sewing machine was patented.

    L.O. Colvin invented a Vacuum milker in 1860, even though the milker could cause problems to the cow's utter it increased milk production a lot. the Vacuum milker sold 1,500 machines in Europe for 5,000 dollars each. the diagram shows that there are 4 cups attached to each teat. the person turning the wheel would cause the suction thus making milk fall. it was very painful for he cow.
