    TutorialTutorialTeachers begin training on Smartboard use. Training will happen once every 6-weeks through out the school year. Group A will include staff of moderate-advanced computer knowledge and will train for 1/2 a day; subs will be needed. Group B will include teachers with limited computer knowledge and will train for 1/2 a day; subs will be needed.

    Teachers will continue learning how to use Smartboards, but will also begin learning about free web-software that can be used in the classroom.

    Smartboard Lessons Teacher training on Smartboard usage and free web-based softwares continues. Teachers learn about using video, finding lessons online that promote technology usage, and online research techniques.
  • 6 Month Survey

    [Survey Tool](www.surveymonkey.com)Half way through the year, teachers will complete a survey so the design team can gain feedback on how the training is going. Teachers will be asked if they like Smartboards, if they will use Smartboards, what web-based technologies they can see themselves using the classroom, and what they would like to, or need to learn.

    Motivation Article Smartboard training and web-based software is continued. Teachers will learn how to integrate technology and use it as a communication and motivation tool. Teachers will also learn how to search for their own web 2.0 tools to use in the classroom.

    Smartboard and Software Training Continued
    Teachers finish last training session of the year for Smartboard usage and Web-based software. Hopefully, even the non-experienced computer-users will be able to implement some simple technologies in the classroom next school year.
  • End Survey

    End Survey
    Staff is given an end of the year survey to evaluate how useful they thinking this year's training was, and whether they will use, or attempt to use something they learned in the classroom next school year. The staff will also be asked whether they would prefer to have a Smartboard in their classroom, or a SchoolPad (which functions very similarily to a Smartboard).
  • Hardware Installation

    Hardware Installation
    Mobile Laptop Cart will be installed with wireless internet. Teacher classrooms will recieve Smartboards or SchoolPads (also called Tablets), depending on preference. Updates to computer lab should be completed by now. Ceiling projectors and screens should be installed in every classroom.
  • Software Review

    Software Review
    One inservice day in August will be devoted to reviewing web-based software usage in the classroom. Training on web-based programs will be after this point, and offered every three months after school for 1 hour. These hours will count toward professional development.
  • Staff Observations/Practice

    Staff will be required every 6 weeks to either observe another staff member using technology in the classroom, or teaching a lesson in which they use technology in the classroom. Subs will be provided for one class period if needed.

    Staff will continue taking turns observing different staff members using technology, or demonstrating technology usage by teaching a lesson in which technology is integrated.

    End of Training Survey will assess how staff felt about their progress in technology usage through out the year. Survey will also ask staff how much they think students' knowledge of technology useage increased. Suggestions for improvement will be welcome.
