Homestead Act
160 free acres of land were given to people who would pay a filling fee and farm the land for fve years. -
End of reconstruction
Reconstruction lasted from 1865 to 1877. Presidents Lincoln and Johnson followed the redeemer plan and congress followed the radical plan, the radical plan was put into effect. -
