  • Prohibition Begins

    Prohibition movements are starting to become a common thing by people protesting who believe that liquor and drunkenness is a threat to the Nation.
  • Prohibition is Official (18th Amendment)

    It was on this day that prohibition would be enforced by law. It was now illegal to manufacture and sell alcohol.

    Bootlegging

    There was a ton of "bootlegging going on during prohibition. Bootlegging is basically buying and selling and producing liquor while it was illegal. Al Capone was one of the biggest bootleggers ever.
  • 21st Amendment is proposed

    to this point in time there were many protests to remove the 18th Amendment and the government finally decided they had had enough. So they propose another amendment
  • Cullen-Harrison Act

    This legally allowed the selling of beer with a alcohol level of 3.2% or less to be sold in the United States.
  • 21st Amendment is Ratified

    It was on this day that the 21st amendment was passed and it pretty much destroyed the 18th amendment.
  • The Prohibition Continues

    Even though in the governments eyes it was legal to produce and consume alcohol again some states kept prohibition on a statewide level.
  • Prohibition comes to a complete end.

    Mississippi was the very last state to allow alcohol within the state. After Mississippi declared it legal the whole USA was back to fully allowing alcohol.
