    Mass Production of Vehicles
    Henry Ford a car manufacturer from America was responsible for inventing and improving the assembly line. He added the first ever conveyor belt in his factory in 1913 and as a result of his invention and improvement it improved the time needed to make a car and the cost involved in buying one.

    End of World War 1
    The first World War (also known as the war to end all wars) ended on the 11th of November 1918 after four years of gory war. The armistice was signed by the learders of both sides at Ferdinand Foch's railway carriage headquarters at Compiegne and came into action at 11am that day. Today we know the 11th of Novemeber as Remembrance day.

    The treaty of Versailles was a peace treaty signed by both oppossing sides at the end of World War 1. The treaty took 6 months to be signed after the actual fighting stopped and was signed on the 5th anniversay of Archduke Franz Ferdinand's assassination.

    The Market Crash of 1929 also known as Black Tuesday was the down fall of the before 'perfect way to get rich'. After World War 1 people were as confident as ever and started to invest their money in the share market. This lead to a boom in the market and as the share price rose people turned to the banks to borrow money. When the Market fell it left many people in the 'red'. It is said to be one of the key factors to the start of the Great Depression.

    The Great Depression for many Australians was a time of suffering and worries that started or got worse after the market crash of 1929. During the time of the great depression unemployment levels were high, making it hard for people to make money and buy simple goods such as food. Working life and employment in Australia started to look up again when the Sydney Harbour Bridge was being built.

    The day of mourning in 1938 marked the 150th anniversary of the first fleet landing on the shores of Sydney cove in Australia. While many white Australians celebrated the day with parades and parties, indigeneous Australias mourned the many who died as a result of diease and used the occassion as a way to reflect on how much had been taken away from them in the passed 150 years.

    World War 2 was the largest and deadlist conflict ever in history, it lasted for 6 years, involved over 30 countries, it was the first time that nuclear weapons were used in action and resulted in 50-85 million mortalities. WW2 started when Germany invaded Poland and Britian and France decalared war on Germany after Hitlor refused to stop his invasion on Poland.

    Japanese Attack on Pearl Harbour
    The attack on Pearl Harbour by the Japanese occurred on the 7th of December 1941. The plan was a suprise attack on the US base in Hawaii. After the bombings 2,400 America soilders had died, 21 ships were damaged or destoryed as well as another 188 aircraft. The attack angered so many Americas and allies and prompted America entering the Second World War.

    Bombing of Darwin
    On the 19th of February 1942, 242 Japanese aircraft bombed ships in Darwins harbour. The attack by the Japanese was aimed to deter Australias allies from using the harbour as a base to challenge the Japanese invasions of Timor and Java. The bombings killed 243 Australias most civilians as well as injuring another 350. The bombings were the first and largest single attack on Australia by a forign country.

    Atomic Bombing of Hiroshima
    The first ever use of nuclear weapons and only use of nuclear weapons in warfare since were the Nuclear bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan in 1945, these Bombings were conducted by the United States. In the first four months the bombings killed around 246,000 in both cities, half of these deaths occured in the first day and months after the attack many more people died due to burns, radiation sickness and other injuries most of the people killed were civilians. Days after Japan surrended.

    The Declaration of Human Rights came to light after the Second World War and after many vilionus acts had been committed. The Declaration of Human Rights was the ''first global expression of rights to which all human beings are inherently entitled.''

    The Mebourne Olymics in 1956 were a very special olymic games and hold a special place in history. The Melbourne Olymics 1956 were the first games that were held in the Southern Hmeisphere and outside of the US and Europe, they were also the first games in which people could watch even if they were not at the event through live television broadcast. In these olymic games Australia came third behind USA and the USSR.

    The Cuban Missile Crisis was a 13 day dispute between the United States and both the Soviet Union and Cuba. The dispute was over the US putting Nuclear missile in both Turkey and Italy aimed at Moscow to try and conquer the Cuban regime. In the meantime the Soviet Union and Cuba had come up with a plan to put missiles in place to stop an invasion attempt. This crisis is known as the closest moment that cold war came to turning into nuclear conflict. It was also the first time that (MAD) was used

    The famous Speech ''I have a dream...' by Martin Luther King was presented to 250,000 America citizens on the steps of Lincoln Memorial. His speech was a call to stop all racism in the US.

    The Australian Freedom rides in 1965 were organised and planned by a group of Sydney Universty students who called themselves the Student Action for Aborigines or SAFA for short. The SAFA planned a bus to tour the Western and Coastal New South Wales towns to draw public attention to Aboriginal heath, education and housing as well trying to eliminate the line of racism that stood between white and black Australias.

The film made on a budget below 10 million dollars was made to try to broadcast Australian films to American viewers but turned out to do even bigger and better things. The film become a worldwide sensation and even became the 'second highest grossing film at the box office' that year. Even today it is still know as a classic Australian movie loved by millions.

In 1989 many East German citizens as well as West German citizes climbed the Berlin Wall and started chipping away at it, governments also used equipment to demolish more of the wall until it eventually fell on the 9th of November 1989.
