Five Institutions
The attack on the world trade center on september 11, 2001 caused the patriot act to be passed. This gave the government the power to go against the constitution and many people have had invasions of privacy or have been imprisoned out of fear sense. -
White Collar Crime
The U.S. justice dep. reports that it has begun an investigation into Enron's bankruptcy. -
Middle Class
My mother marries Gary Manes, who had a decent paying job. We move in with him soon after. -
Id, ego, superego
I begin high school and start to become who I am today. I develop my personality more and learn a lot about myself. -
Socialisation
I got my first real job at Quiznos, and I have been making sandwiches professionally every since. -
Working class
During this summer i worked construction almost every day. It was hard work but good money fa sho. -
Deviance
I got arrested for my first time after being caught out 6 min. after cerfew and had to pay a large fine, I am such a criminal. -
Self Reliance
In July of 2008 i was kicked out of my house. I ended up living in my hippie van for a few weeks and supporting myself through quiznos money. -
Social Ranking
I began my job at Red Robin and worked as thier mascott. The job sucked and the suit smelt like puke, but I could get away with taking a fifteen minute break after every ten minutes of work and sit in the back eating fries and smoking cigs. -
Juvenile Delinquency
After running and hiding from the cops in a park with friends we get back to our cars and get blamed for urinating in public. It took about 5 cops to bring us down for this falsified crime. -
Social status
I turned 18 and became a legal adult. I now have the ability to buy cigs, vote, and view boobs. It also means that i get to pay for medical bills and am taxed more which is fun. -
Hard work/ material success
I graduate and will hopefully be able to move out of my house soon.
