    Kennedy meets with the Soviet Foreign Minister, Andrei Gromyko, and informs him that the US will not tolerate the threat from Cuba. Gromyko explains the missiles in Cuba is no threat to the US but instead are there for defense.

    When Kenndey returns, he decides to quarantine Cuba. He also decides to prepare a speech to tell the public about the task at hand. He also gets ready to send out troops to get ready for the mission.

    After President Kenndey and Mrs. Kennedy attend church, JFK meets with Walter Sweeney, Tatical Air Command. Sweeney informs Kennedy that the air strike cannot guarantee total destruction of the Cuban missiles.

    President Kennedy approves the quarantine of Cuba and the U.S. navy creates a blockade around Cuba. The Ambassador of the United Nations explains the situation to the U.N.(United Nations). Kennedy asks Russia to stop any ships in that area so that the U.S. navy does not have to fire and start a war.

    Khrushchev responds Kennedy by saying he doesn't want to stop the ships because Kennedy is no longer appealing to his reason, but rather trying to intimidate them.

    Kennedy again contacts Khrushchev begging him to change the course of events. United Nations wants a cooling time but Kennedy refuses because he doesn't want to leave the Cuban missiles there now that he knows they are operational.

The agreement was removal of the Cuban missiles only if the US calls off the quarantine and doesn't invade and attack Cuba.

    Kennedy receives another letter requesting to remove the missiles in Turkey. A US plane is shot down, the pilot is killed, and Kennedy writes a letter of condolences to the pilot's wife. Now the agreement is called off and Kennedy secretly meets with Ambassador Anatoly Dobrynin and they reach an agreement.

    The Soviet Union agrees to removing the missiles if the US removes its blockade. The problem is solved and war never had to break out.
